How the auction works (MaxSold):

  • We photograph every sellable item right inside the property
  • Items go up on MaxSold's online auction platform — bidders register and bid online (credit card required)
  • Every item starts at $1 — this drives bidder engagement and helps clear virtually everything (98% sell-through rate)
  • Winning bidders come to the property within seller-set timeframes to pick up their items
  • Buyers are responsible for taking items apart and removing them themselves
  • MaxSold handles payment collection and provides full accounting for sold items

Family distribution items go back to specific relatives per your instructions. Donations go to reputable local charities (donation receipts available for tax purposes). Recyclables stay out of landfill wherever possible.
